The Gathering of Quilters welcomes Charlotte Angotti from Conway, South
Carolina as the speaker for the March meeting.
Charlotte
began quilting in 1978 after she visited a quilt shop while
shopping with her mother. Her career as a quilt teacher started
in 1979 when someone asked her to teach them how to quilt. She
has been selling her quilts ever since she sold her very first
quilt.
She was well
prepared to lecture and teach, having studied fine arts, speech,
and drama. From 1981-1999 Charlotte owned her own quilt shop in
Virginia.
She began teaching and
lecturing nationally in 1991, which she now does full time. She
also owns a kit business, Quilt Maker’s Studio. |
