The Gathering
promotes a variety of functions in order to keep the art of quilting
alive and growing. Four general meetings are held each year and a fifth,
more casual meeting in January offers more time to socialize and to
“recycle” quilting items too valuable to throw away.
Guest speakers, Show-and-Tell and
fabric raffles are all a part of our meetings. In addition, committees
within The Gathering work each year toward producing quilts for rotating
charities and various charity auctions. Still other committees plan
special events such as quilting excursions and workshops.
The Gathering also funds a yearly
award for the Toledo Federation of Art Societies.
