Carol Fleitz, Secretary, read the June 23, 2011 Board Meeting Minutes. A correction to the Minutes was "Carmen EI-Amin, Vice President, is the contact person with the Elks, not Debbie Linenkugel". A motion was made by Irene Rose and seconded by Ruth Wood to approve the corrected Minutes. Vote taken - Minutes approved.

Carmen EL-Amin - Vice President will sign the contract with the Elks and set dates for upcoming meetings. She will also make up and hand out Announcement Forms if needed before the start of meeting. Discussion followed regarding the set up of tables for the meeting.

Membership: Kathy Hubert - No Report.

Publicity: Irene Rose showed a sample of a Bookmark she has designed for the Guild as a handout to Quilt Shops, Guilds etc. The lime green color was chosen for the Bookmark. Irene will also make a tri-fold reminder board to be set up at the meetings.

Programs 2011-2012 - Kathy Stein reported that Speakers were set for 2011-2012. Discussion followed regarding having Aniko Feher return at a later date to do a Class on Portraits since that is our Challenge this year. Kathy will follow up on this.

Programs 2012-2013 - Londa Burkett reported that no Speakers have been set up yet.

Program Book: Diana Jacob passed out a sample of the new Program Book. Diana asked for additions or corrections for the final copy to be passed out at the September Meeting.

Peverly Hormann will continue as our Web Master.

Retreat: Debbie Linenkugel read the information sheet and registration form regarding the April Retreat. Forms will be available at all meetings. Registration forms and money due February 1st, 2012.

Challenge/Fat Quarter Basket: Beth Rohrbacher suggested a UFO program. A challenge to see how many unfinished projects members can get done by the May Meeting.

Historian: Colleen will have a CD of pictures taken at the Iron Quilter Contest made to give to Ruth Wood for use in the picture frame. Colleen also inquired who had the 2nd place prize that was won by the Gathering of Quilters at the Kaleidoscope Quilt show.

Prizes: Cathy Frick and Amy Reitzel will have prizes available at the September Meeting.

Ricky Tims: An e-mail was received from Gretchen Schultz regarding a Ricky Tims Seminar she attended in the Cleveland area. Gretchen was wondering if the Gathering would be interested in hosting a Ricky Tims workshop in our area. Something to think about for a future event.

Old Business: Irene Rose will take care of sending the donation of $50.00 to "Go Red For Women's Heart Health" in memory of Chris Olwick.
